We've installed a 236.56 kWp system for Sandal Wakefield BMW, the system provided will generate nearly 200,000kWh of energy a year, reducing their dependency on grid supplied energy by nearly 30%.
Sustainability is at the forefront of concerns for BMW as an organisation. This installation provides the showroom with a long-term and significant step on their road to carbon neutrality.
The installed system impacts direct usage demands and provides a huge emissions reduction of 37,810kg annually, the equivalent of planting 1,737 trees yearly.
Jason Carter, Operations Director of Sandal BMW, said: “The Solar PV system we have had fitted here at Sandal Wakefield BMW is a long-term investment that will not only help us reduce our CO2 emissions, it will also help in our pledge to become a net-zero operation as we move towards the government’s target of carbon-neutral by 2050. The team at Green Shield Group have been great in guiding us through the process and we are looking forward to generating our own clean electricity.”
