The specialised SolarEdge system, which will save almost 300,000 kg of CO2 per year, will also provide a cost saving to Uniroyal of over £2 million spanning a 10-year period.

The system we are now installing will enable the business to protect itself whilst also delivering reduced energy rates and protection against any future price rises. It will also not only generate energy to be consumed on site, but will typically give electricity bill savings of over 20% making this the perfect solution for Uniroyal Global.”

This project is being delivered in partnership with Shawton Energy and Iona Capital, it will be delivered as a Power Purchase Agreement.
Uniroyal Global manufactures PVC coated fabrics and has operated for over 70 years. They supply to a number of sectors including Automotive, Contract Upholstery, Off Highway & Agricultural and Mass Transportation.
Green Shield Group’s energy proposition can be funded via the businesses Green Fund. Green Shield Group has recently rolled out a franchise model, which has launched its first sites in North Wales and Glasgow.
