Twenty teams tee’d off for a day of golf, thanks to the event sponsorship of Green Shield Group and golf ball donations by PPS (Pennine Pneumatic Services Ltd).
Although the Land Rover prize, courtesy of Vertu Jaguar Land Rover in Nelson, remained unclaimed for a hole-in-one, one golfer managed an unbelievable hole-in-one on a different hole! Plenty of other prizes remained up for grabs with golfers winning longest drive & nearest the pin competitions which were kindly sponsored by Burnley College, Communications Plus Limited, Brsk & Windle & Bowker
The day ended with an exciting raffle and auction, prizes & trophies kindly sponsored by Bowland IT – Business IT & Telecoms & FRICTION COMPONENTS AND SYSTEMS LIMITED with attendees enjoying the classic Burnley meal of pie, peas, and gravy courtesy of McDevitt Electrical & Controls LTD.
The success of the day is a testament to the unwavering support of the charity’s partners, sponsors, and supporters. The funds raised will undoubtedly contribute to the club’s ongoing community initiatives, making a positive impact on the lives of many.
Here at Green Shield Group, we’re always intent on being a part of our community and giving back where we possibly can, or collaborative efforts with Burnley FC in the community are always extremely rewarding, and all in all excellent days out for all involved!
