Williams Recycling

The proposed solar PV system for Williams Recycling’s Hinckley site is a 99.44 kWp installation spread across three curved roof areas, designed to maximise on-site energy use and reduce reliance on grid electricity. It is forecast to generate around 90,321 kWh per year, with 66.1% self-consumed on-site, delivering an estimated £11,348 year-one saving, and 13,140 kg CO₂ saved in the first year. A key delivery consideration was the physical complexity of the installation itself. The project spanned three separate roof areas, each with a curved profile, requiring careful planning around access, safety and installation methodology. The project was phased as the team utilised rotating scaffold, ensuring consistency and accurately across multiple roof sections.
